Sow & Grow Grants are seed investments in Atlanta’s theatre artists of color. Artists can use the funding to develop a project or for personal development. This includes, but is not limited to, workshop readings of a play or additional classes or training. In this industry and country, we often neglect that which is most necessary for creativity- rest and restorative self-care.  CREAT encouraged applicants to consider using Sow & Grow Grants to fund this as well.

The second grant cycle is now open. Apply today!

Project Support

We received 98 applications for support this year. We’re proud that we were able to award $10,000 to nine Atlanta theatre makers through our lottery-based grant process. However, there are 91 worthy artists whose projects didn’t get funded. For artists that opted in, we’re posting their names, brief project descriptions, and email information. We encourage you to contact artists if you have funds or other ways to support their work!
